Is he worth it?

So, I am a newlywed. Yes thank you, it’s very exciting. As all of you have heard or known, the first year is hard. It’s not hard the way I expected it to be, it’s just...well that’s literally something I could write a novel on.

Honestly though, I married a wonderful man whose strengths are well suited for my needs and hopefully vice versa. It’s been an awesome year and we have had a blast.

Now that I have assure you all that I do in fact, love my husband: I have to share with you the OFFICIAL NUMBER ONE SUCKIEST THING about marriage that no one ever tells you. (Sorry Mom, she hates when I use the word "suck").

When you are married and your husband is taller than you, you always have to sit in the middle seat on airplanes...

if you want to sit together of course.

It’s great when the flight isn’t full and you get your own row, but if not? You’re out of luck!

Ryan is learning that since he usually get the aisle, he is officially my pillow/ back scratcher/ servant. I think it’s a pretty good compromise. If this does not work for you and your situation, you do not have to sit by your husband, you can make him repay you in other ways like watching your shows on netflix, or try going to smaller airports so you get to fly in the planes with only two seats on each side.

So for all of you trying to decide if he’s "the one"...ask yourself this important question:

Is he worth sitting in the middle seat on airplanes for?
