FabFitFun Editor's Box. An Honest Review From Someone Not Popular Enough To Receive a Free Box.

Who else has seen the advertisements and Instagrammers promoting the FabFitFun box? The posts have flooded my news feeds for over a year and I have been wanting to try one but couldn’t justify it...cause i’m cheap lol.
Recently though, I’ve had a few clients and friends ask if I’ve tried it and my opinion. I couldn’t offer an opinion since I hadn’t purchased one myself and I’m not big enough to be sent a free box sooooooo since my birthday is coming up and the people asked, I ordered the most recent Editor’s box to give it a shot:
Happy Birthday to me!
I mainly want to offer an honest opinion as someone who is not being paid for a review or received a free box but as the average customer who tends to be more frugal.

The packaging of course is on point and I liked their FabFitFun newspaper with beauty, health, and fitness suggestions along with other things. It also had a write up of what was in the box and the actual cost of the product. They really should have placed that at the bottom of the box because it felt like opening Christmas gifts early.

There was a hair wrap which, if you’ve ever used one, they’re amazing and I can always use more.
A full sized Tarte palette in nudes which one can never go wrong with Tarte or nude eyeshadows so I’m not complaining. Also, without looking at the list, I know how much those cost so I already got my money’s worth.

There was a Briogeo hair mask which was oddly funny because I had just gotten one that morning from a client who works at a hair salon so I think it was God’s way of telling me I need to deep condition more!
Next was an exfoliant by Kate Somerville which I had never heard of but Tamara, my bestie who was taking the pics, said was apparently amazing so that’s exciting.

Then a free people gel face mask that was honestly just adorable. I’m hoping I find a use for it when traveling but I’ve never been able to sleep with one on so, guess we will find out when I go to Portugal! At least I’ll look fashionable trying lol.
A hot and cold gel pack was included and was a lifesaver since I’ve been overdoing it recently. There was a blue and white striped tote by Summer & Rose. It’s cute, I’m wondering how much use I will actually get out of it since it doesn’t seem large enough to be a legitimate beach tote and has no structure to work as a going out purse but I’m not ruling it out quite yet. It’s definitely cute and good quality and I’m sure i’ll find a way to make it work.

Last but not least my FAVORITE item, the mug with lashes and “I’d rather be in bed” on it. I’m all about lashes and was SUPER excited when I saw my new lash mug...and it was in my color. They nailed that one.
So, box and products were opened and I felt like Christmas morning, very happy with everything I got but sad it was over.
My Reactions:
The box is very well priced for what is in there. I definitely received a much greater value than what I paid. The exfoliant alone was $75. So it’s 100% in the value department
I’m not sure I would use a couple of the products which is disappointing. Not everyone would see that as a bad thing since it’s still fun to try new products, which I agree with. However, I tend to not like storing things that I don’t actively use. That is just nitpicking though and I will say, I’m going to give the mask and purse a try so I could be pleasantly surprised. I know that they also offer a feature/upgrade where you can pick your products so that may be something worth looking into.
How does it compare to other boxes I’ve tried? I’ve tried BlessBox, Ipsy, Birchbox and a few other less prominent ones. FitFabFun surpasses the competition from what I have seen. It is the best bang for your buck, has the best products comparatively for size and quality, and had a super easy ordering process. It is never hard to find a promo code and I like that they’re really utilizing bloggers. Overall, it’s the only box I would buy in this vein...at least compared to the others I have tried.
Would I get one again? Look guys, I am honestly super frugal so I don’t indulge frequently in unnecessary spending. Subscription boxes cannot be defined as anything other than unnecessary spending. If I was going to order a beauty box, this would be it. 100% no arguments, I was incredibly happy with the product and experience. However, as much as I liked/loved the products, I didn’t NEED them so it’s probably just something I’ll ask for for birthday gifts since I’m apparently impossible to shop for. If you are not ridiculously tight fisted like myself, I would say it’s a great purchase and the bloggers you follow aren’t just saying that because they get a free box so go for it!
I hope that helps!
